Background

Extension:Progressbar was introduced on Wiki Aventurica a long time ago, since it offers such an easy way to display a progressbar.

Sadly, security concerns were never adressed properly by the author of the extension, and so it was removed from MediaWiki.

In October 2026, it was rewritten by me and shared on my nextcloud.

How it works

The extension introduces a new parser tag named <progressbar>.

possible attributes

• direction: The direction of the progressbar; possible values: horizontal (default), vertical
• height: The height of the progressbar, in px; default: 15
• width: The width of the progressbar, in px; default: 300
• start: The start of the intervall, a number; default: 0
• end: The end of the intervall, a number; default: 100
• current: The point on the intervall to which the progressbar will be filled, a number; default: 0
• backgroundcolor: The color of the filled progressbar; default: black
